Layton High School Battle of the Bands!

Sorry for the confusion. Bands must perform a cover AND an original song but Open MIKE contestants only perform one song. It can be a cover or an original, your choice.  Please spread the word.  Thanks!

 This post is the place to connect with musicians searching for bands to join, or bands in need of musicians. Post in the comments what you are in search of and we can all work together to help connect you to the right person or opportunity.  The deadline for both contest entries is Friday, January 20th. So don't procrastinate. We will not be accepting any entries after this date.  Solo artists and bands that are 9th grade students will be representing your Jr. High school. You will be competing against students at your own school. If you are the only entry from your school, you automatically move on to regionals but still get to perform at the competition.  Whichever school the majority of your bands members attend, will be the school you will be representing. If it's 50/50 you get to decide.  Tickets are $5 to attend the competition. If you are competing in the competition you do not have to buy a ticket.  Tickets sales are general admission so arrive early to get a good seat. If you are in the competition you will have seats reserved up front for you and your band.  The audience members will be included in some of the voting for certain categories and prizes.
