Competition Update: Video Submissions
Due to circumstances this year, we are allowing video submissions of performances for those who will not be able to attend the competition on February 18th.
There are advantages to performing live in person as part of your score will be rated on audience response to your performance. Also, you get the advantage of receiving feedback from the judges. However, we understand that due to COVID and families going out of town because of the 3-day weekend, many will not be able to attend in person but would still like to enter.
For those performing via video, you will still need submit all entry forms by Friday, February 4th, along with lyrics, MP3, etc. In the email you will need to state that you will not be attending the competition on the 18th and include a video link for both video song performances. Please do not attach video files in your email entry. Videos must be uploaded to another site. The videos need to be unedited without filters and added effects - just footage of your performance from beginning to end. The camera should film a front view of your performance as if you were on stage facing the audience. Please do not film from angles. The video should just be of your performance without any talking at the beginning or end. Please submit a separate video for each performance. Your videos will be played for the judges and audience at the competition.
The multi-regional and state competitions will not be allowing video performances. You will need to attend and perform in person. Please make sure those dates work for you, before you choose to enter. Read earlier posts for details and info on those competitions.
As always, if you have any questions please ask. Good luck!
